The specific objectives are: 1/ To measure the incidence of acute respiratory tract infections, diarrhoea, fevers and malnutrition 2/ To measure immunisation coverage, and 3/ To describe the use of health services. We shall use a population-based cohort study design with a sample size of 1514 children. A multi-stage sampling technique will be used to select the study participant. Bivariate and multivariate analysis will be used. This study will provide important information for the health authorities on the real need to improve health service coverage for children.
